12th Avenue Widening from Home Depot to Grangeville Boulevard

The project started construction on August 9, 2010 and is scheduled to be completed on December 7, 2010.  Southern California Edison has been relocating the overhead power poles on the east side of the street to their new location behind the proposed curb and gutter.

The contractor, Agee Construction of Clovis CA, began construction on the west side of 12th Avenue on August 9th and is close to completing the underground installations.  Curb and gutter and median curb is scheduled to be installed on the west side the week of October 4th, and the cement treated road base is scheduled for the following week.

With the completion of the west side initial AC pavement lift the week of October 18th, traffic will be detoured to the newly constructed side of the road, and construction will continue with underground installations on the east side and the Greenfield Avenue extension underground work will begin.

The installation of the traffic signal at the intersection of 12th and Greenfield is being scheduled and coordinated with the street project.

The project is slightly behind schedule due to the SCE pole completion.
