Climatic Conditions - Summer Heat
Hanford Fire DepartmentDue to the extreme temperature predictions over the next 2-3 days, The City of Hanford will be opening a Community Cooling Center. The center will be located at Coe Park Hall, 543 S. Douty Street and will open at 1:00 p.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.

All citizens are advised to drink plenty of water or other non-alcohol or caffeinated fluids and to stay out of the direct sunlight if possible. Reduce, eliminate or rescheduled strenuous activities until the coolest time of the day. Children, seniors and anyone with health problems should stay in the coolest available place, not necessarily indoors. Never leave your child or pet unattended in a vehicle, even with the windows down. Children and the elderly should be monitored for signs of heat related stress and illness and seek emergency medical assistance if needed.
